In the town renowned
for oysters, visitors are offered a top festival this July, in South Africa.
The Knysna Oyster
Festival runs from July 2-11 and is said to offer some of the best tasting oysters
in the world.
The delicious food
is a top reason to visit, found in a protected lagoon that spreads out above
the town.
Extremely fresh
the oysters are said to be muscly and light in flavour and visitors to the festival
will get to decide for themselves.
As part of the
festival there are numerous competitions to take part in or simply watch and
of course the cooking and eating of the food itself.
