than fife million visitors each year. A visit to the Grand Canyon is on the
list of almost every ones “places to see”, and if you get the chance,
grab it!
This awe inspiring
chasm of the Grand Canyon is something that has to be experienced to fully understand.
All the footage in the world can not prepare you for the true sense of wonder
you feel when you arrive. Better yet, take one of the helicopter rides across
the Grand Canyon for a breathtaking view you will remember for an eternity.
A trip to Las Vegas
would not be complete without a trip to the Grand Canyon. This is an experience
you will never forget and is humbling to see. There are several tour operators
which conduct helicopter rides to the Grand Canyon and all of which offer an
experience of a life time which will stay etched in your memory for ever. Descending
some 4,000 feet into the depths of the Grand Canyon is just part of the experience
you can expect and with breathtaking views of the Hover Damn and surrounding
landscape, this can be a superb chance to see the wonderful land at its best.
For those visitors
who arrive by car, then the best way to access the Grand Canyon is by the South
Rim. There are much more by way of facilities such as eateries and lodges around
the south rim, so if you are planning a longer stay, this is the ideal place
to begin.
If you are planning
on taking part in a spot of hiking while at the Grand Canyon, then the south
rim is the best place to be. It is possible to walk for several miles along
the south rim which offers stunning views of the Canyon plus the surrounding
landscape. You can even hike into the Canyon should the urge take you, and even
than, make sure you are well equipped to do so. There are trails into the depths
of the canyon which should be followed at all times.
If you plan on
staying in the vicinity of the Grand Canyon, then you will have a small selection
of Lodges to choose from. Although none of which really cater for those on a
budget, so the cheapest and most rewarding way to stay on the area is to camp.
The Mather campground and RV park is located near Grand Canyon Village and offers
great camping facilities at very reasonable prices. There can be no better experience
than camping under the stars with the Grand Canyon just a small walk away.
Just next door, the Trailer Village is a great place for RV’s and camper
vans. Again the facilities are superb and is a wonderful experience.

Grand Canyon is always rewarding and thrilling. To see for yourself this awesome
abyss is well worth any journey to get you there.
