Ride back to medieval
times at Italian festival
On September 21,
Italy goes back in time to recreate historical events and life in medieval Asti.
The main feature
of the Palio di Asti, is an ancient horse race where the Piazza Alfieri is turned
in to a racetrack.
In addition there
is also a historical procession where more than 1200 people wearing medieval
costumes walk through the ancient alleys in the centre of the town.
Events run from
10am until 10pm and costs range from nothing to E77.5.
