Taste true Italy at Bologna City of Food

A three-day feast full of food is available in Bologna in Italy this May.

Launched last year Bologna's food festival spreads the main streets and squares of the historical city with traditional and local speciality produce.

Visitors can sample a host of Bolognese treats including cotoletta alla Bolognese - a breaded veal cutlet, graced with cheese and truffles, mortadella, tortellini, lasagne, tagliatelle, bollito misto (a soup cooked with seven kinds of meat, seven vegetables, and seven condiments) and cotechino (a Piemontese pork sausage).

Held around Bologna, this year's event takes place from 20-23 May.

Among the locations showcasing the products are Piazzetta di Via Dei Musei, Piazzetta di Via Dei Musei, Via Clavature and Piazza Del Baraccano.
