Rock your time away at Athens festival

An ancient town will be filled with modern music this June, as Greece hosts the Rockwave Festival.

Running from June 19-22, Terra Vibe in Athens holds the biggest and best yearly music event in the town.

The rock festival is set to feature performances by stars including Placebo, Peter Gabriel and the Pixies.

Around 50,000 visitors attend the event, which also offers acrobats, bungee jumping, stilt walkers, jugglers and a skate park.

The festival first began in 1996 and is now the highlight of the city's annual music calendar, with improvements made every year.
