Dance the night
away at traditional Greek festival
Forget plate smashing,
dancing is a Greek tradition not to be missed this summer in Athens.
Starting from May
28 until October 3, Greek dancers perform in authentic costumes to traditional
Greek music at the Dora Stratou Theatre, with the Athenian Acropolis on Philopappou
Hill as the perfect backdrop.
The annual festival
takes place each night for a cost of €15 and also includes traditional
Greek songs performed by the dancers.
Each night a different
unique dance is created by the dancers in their performance.
The theatre was
first set up over 35 years ago and was designed by famous Greek painter Spyros
Vassiliou.
