For a chance to mix with the stars or view the latest films first, head to Cannes this May.

The well-known Cannes Film Festival held from May 12-23 not only features invitation only events but also includes public screenings and top beach locations to try and get a view of top stars.

Most events occur at the Palais des Festivals, although other venues feature screenings too.

For the most likely chance to view an actor or actress viewers should head to the beach or may get a peek at film stars soaking up the sun from their yachts.
