Down Town LA Dining
Whatever your taste buds fancy, Downtown LA provides
everything from traditional American diners, cafes and bistros to Top Nosh Restaurants.
Eating out in LA is a popular past time with so much variety of food to choose
from including “All you can eat” buffet style breakfasts costing
a mere $7 - $16.
There are the usual fast food giants located on nearly every street that offer
everything from a burger to chicken wings and pizza all at low cost prices.
Dining out in the evening can be more expensive depending on the restaurant
you eat at. A meal can cost an average of $35 at French, Greek, Italian, Mexican,
Vegetarian, Japanese, Seafood, Spanish and Indian Restaurants. (There literally
is something for everyone)
For the star searchers there is the famous Planet Hollywood to dine in, it is
rather expensive but I’m sure some would say “well worth it”
as many of the stars in LA Like to dine there. Finding a seat can be difficult
and you may have a long wait for a table and in some cases you may also have
to reserve a table by calling the restaurant.
You can sample some of the international dishes when at home and the best way
to experience American Dining is to sample some of the traditional American
dishes.
Restaurants that offer such cuisine include the following
• New Moon – serves steaks, soups and salads at
reasonable prices up to $17.
• Engine Co No 28 – serves traditional American cuisine including
steaks and seafood dishes that are priced between $26 - $42
• Water Grill – The restaurant mainly serves seafood that is very
pricey but enjoyable.
• Grand Star Restaurant – Chinese and Vietnamese cuisine. The restaurant
is open till 1am and even hosts a Karaoke night. The food is not overly expensive.
• Mandarin Deli – Located on Broadway serves Chinese and Vietnamese
food, which is very good, value for money.
• Cuidad Restaurant – serves Spanish cuisine with live Latin music
played in the restaurant gives it a true Spanish atmosphere in which to enjoy
your meal. The food is a little expensive, however great service and atmosphere
compensate.
• McCormick and Schmicks – serves a range of seafood dishes which
are freshly caught and prepared.
