Cottage Holidays
There is nothing better than a Cottage
holiday to relax, the surrounding lush green countryside while on your
cottage holidays, where you can explore and return to a cosy log fire and experince
ultimate peace and tranquillity.
Most cottage holidays are available on a short break basis as well as the usual
holiday period, the added advantage is that you have complete privacy and you
may even be allowed to take the family pet.
Cottages are normally owned by individuals, and let through agencies that handle
the administration, brochures and bookings.
Cottage holiday hiring normally runs from Saturday to Saturday. You will usually
be asked to arrive in mid to late afternoon, and leave fairly early in the morning,
to allow the cottage to be cleaned.
The Price of the cottage is not always a reflection on what
the interior and exterior of the cottage is like; make sure you confirm what
is included in the price. This will vary with different cottage agencies, with
some who may make additional charges for everything. Things you need to confirm
are booking fees, electricity, bed linen and what the deposit will be when you
book your cottage holidays, also confirm when the balance has to be paid when
you book. Be aware that a low deposit or no-deposit may look very attractive,
but if you have to cancel your holiday you may loose a lot of money.
And lastly give yourself plenty of time to arrive (preferably in daylight) at
your cottage holiday, as you might take a while to find it, it would be a great
idea to ask for directions to your cottage when booking your cottage holidays.
