Take a bite out
of St Lucia at market feast
In a bid to celebrate
their feast day, the markets of St Lucia come together to host the
Market Vendors' Feast.
The event is a
religious service followed by a festival of food.
All day throughout
August 1, visitors have the chance to try a whole host of local dishes and enjoy
singing and dancing around the island's many markets.
The capital of
the island, Castries, is usually used as the main centre of activities but each
of the markets hold their own celebrations.
