California Central Coast Holidays
The
Central Coast of California is some 400 miles of beautiful coastline. Winding
through rugged towns, quiet villages and wealthy beach resorts, the Central
Coast is a spectacular fusion of sand, sea and dramatic landscape.
A trip along the
Central Coast can offer travellers an entirely different outlook of the Californian
landscape. This can be a welcome retreat from the hustle and bustle of city
life as the Central Coast presents another facet to the beautiful land California
is known for.
Big Sur Coast is
home to some of the worlds most rugged yet stunning coastline. Covering some
90 miles, the Big Sur Coast is an awesome stretch of road which teeters along
high rocky cliffs where redwood groves run in procession along deep river canyons
. From the Santa Lucia Mountains to the popular resort towns, the Big Sur Coast
offers diverse accommodation choices as well as ever changing scenery.
There are two towns
in the Central Coast which are predominant, Santa Cruz and Santa Barbara. Both
of which remarkable in beauty as well as diverse culture. There are several
choices for accommodation in each town with Santa Barbara being the more expensive
of the two. Brimming with wealth and riches, the majority of accommodation here
is pricey.
The Santa Barbara Inn offers guests a superb beach location at the fraction
of the cost of the ritzier Santa Barbara hotels. Ideal for families wanting
to visit the area, but on a limited budget, the Santa Barbara Inn has spacious
rooms overlooking a wonderful beach.
Each room comes with either a balcony or patio and has air conditioning, cable
TV complete with Nintendo video games for the children, fridge, coffee maker,
iron and board, hairdryer and lavish robes.
There are great amenities in the hotel including a swimming pool, an award winning
restaurant and a number of recreational activities from volleyball to water
skiing.
Santa Cruz is a
relaxed and tranquil haven for those travellers looking for a peaceful retreat
in the heart and soul of the Central Coast. This northern coastal town is somewhat
more serene and slower paced than the like of Santa Barbara and perhaps this
is the main reason why this charming town remains a popular yet unspoiled destination.
The accommodation in Santa Cruz is a lot less expensive than the other major
tourist towns, and as such is becoming increasingly popular with families.
The Capitola Venetian

quite dramatically. Each room has a kitchen and some of which are two bed roomed

at reasonable prices.
