Beverley Hills Holidays
Beverley
Hills where the Oscar and Academy Award came from is known throughout the world
for its wealth and prestige, where the rich and famous drive expensive cars
and live in mansions located in the perfectly idyllic surroundings of the district.
The district itself has many visits from tourists who come to gawp at the extremely
expensive houses of Bel Air and look in the shop windows of Rodeo Drive, where
some of the most expensive outfits are sold. One of the more popular stores
to visit on Rodeo Drive is Ralph Lauren, where fashion is at a cost but one
that wont break the bank.
If you are on a budget and want to shop and be entertained then there are plenty
high- rise shopping malls to choose from in Downtown Beverly Hills known as
the Golden Triangle. The area is a three shopping zone triangle that has a wide
selection of department store, shops, hotels and restaurants such as Planet
Hollywood where you might just catch a glimpse at a movie star. Food is great
and not overly expensive and memorabilia is on sale within the restaurant such
as sweatshirts and other items.
Within the triangle there are museums including the Museum Of Television and
Radio and Gagosian Gallery that displays a collection of Contemporary art pieces.
Some fine art deco buildings to look around include the Beverley Hills City
Hall and Library and Civic Centre and the MCA Building that also has beautiful
gardens to wander round.
Other beautiful gardens and peaceful scenery can be found in the Northern Hills
and Canyons. The Virginia Robinson Gardens with over 5 aces of plants, flowers
and grass provides a welcome retreat from the City bustle, as does the Franklin
Canyon with its picnic areas, parkland and calm reservoirs.
Century Centre
offers many attractions, the 20th century fox building is located here as is
the Century City Shopping Mall with department’s stores including Bloomingdale’s
to browse around. The Century Plaza Towers can also be found here which is a
massive triangular building and located around Century City there is the HaShoa
Museum of Tolerance and Mormon Temple where the large 12ft Statue of Jesus can
be seen in the Visitor Centre which is open to the general public.
