Take a walk into
culture at Brussels' Zinneke Parade
The Zinneke Parade
full of 4000 participants is an artistic display of the latest creations combining
contemporary and local work.
Referred to as
a "street opera" the parade occurs once every two years and is taking
place on 8 May this year.
Zinneke includes
a number of artistic types and crafts, appealing to everyone no matter what
their tastes.
Workshops to help
create items for the event go on for months beforehand to help create the spectacular
show of different artworks that usually sees the streets lined with around 3,000
spectators.
This year's theme
is The Body in the City and is part of Brussels' City of Culture scheme.
