Belgian buildings
open their doors to the public
For a chance to
enter the monuments and buildings normally closed to the public in Flanders,
Belgium, visit on Open Monument Day this September.
Taking place on
September 8, visitors are invited to enter buildings for free or at a low cost.
Organised guided
tours are also available and musical performances and other activities take
place in a number of the monuments.
The area is said
to contain some of the most beautiful monuments of the Middle Ages and Renaissance,
across the whole of Europe.
